Frequently Asked Questions

  • Start with how you use your room. If you're writing songs, recording vocals, or playing acoustic instruments and want a more comfortable creative space, the Artist Kit is your starting point. If you're producing, tracking, and monitoring in the same room and need a balance of creativity and accuracy, the Producer Kit fits that workflow. If you're mixing, mastering, or doing critical listening where translation matters most, the Mixer Kit gives you the depth of control you need.

  • The kits are designed for standard home studio rooms. Artist Kits are modeled in a 10'x11'x8' room. Producer Kits are shown in a 12'x14'x8' room. Mixer Kits are shown in an 11'x15'x8'7" room. That said, all kits are adaptable to different room sizes. Smaller rooms work well, especially with the Essentials and Plus tiers. Larger rooms benefit from the higher tiers or adding panels later. Every kit includes hardware for multiple installation options to work around windows, doors, and furniture.

  • All of our products are available individually. The kits are curated packages based on the designs we create for customers through our Free Room Advice program. They reflect how we actually think about room acoustics: the needs of an artist are different from a producer, and both are different from a mixing engineer. Budget and room size also play a role. The kits simplify that decision-making process and give you a clear path forward, with all the hardware included and a free custom room layout when you purchase.

  • Yes. If you start with Essentials and want to expand later, you can add the panels from Plus or Pro individually. Keep in mind that not all kits use the same panel types, especially in the Mixer line, so upgrading isn't always a direct path from one tier to the next. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll help you plan a path that makes sense for your room and budget.

  • No. The suggested layouts show one way to arrange each kit, but every room is different. When you purchase a Room Kit, we'll create a custom layout based on your specific room dimensions, window and door placement, and how you use the space. That's included free with every kit purchase.

  • The kits are designed with flexibility in mind. Every kit includes hardware for suspended installs, which let you mount panels in front of windows or built-ins without blocking them permanently. We also offer Bookend Feet and Easel Stands that can make panels freestanding if wall or ceiling mounting isn't an option in certain areas.
